Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
A book about how our snap judgements and quick reactions are based on complex mental processes that are in some ways more pure and unhindered than elaborate deliberating and careful analysis.

In the author's words: a book about rapid cognition, about the kind of thinking that happens in a blink of an eye. When you meet someone for the first time, or read the first few sentences of a book, your mind takes about two seconds to jump to a series of conclusions. "Blink" is a book about those two seconds, [and] those instant conclusions that we reach [that] are really powerful and really important and, occasionally, really good.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

A crazy whimsical movie about a mad love and its magic and loss. Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet put in virtuoso acting performances on a screen play that is brilliant, and imaginative. One of the best films that I have seen in the last couple years, for sure.
