During this working session, you will be able to revise, update, or expand your existing curricular materials with expert guidance on hand.
This professional development activity/course is designed for:
- Program staff who are refining their program's ELA curriculum at any level (scope and sequence, unit plans, lesson plans).
Think of this session as a guided study hall with expert coaches on hand to answer questions, suggest possibilities, and discuss difficulties.
For three hours you can work on your existing ELA curricular materials-whether scope and sequence, unit plans, or lesson plans-with your ELA curriculum coaches. Bring as many materials as you currently have, and you'll be able to walk away with revised drafts and a renewed sense of purpose and competence.
Snow date is February 7, 2016.
Upon completion of this professional development activity/course, you will be able to:
- Edit, refine, and add to existing ELA curricular materials
- Tackle challenges brought to light in creating and using your ELA curriculum
You must have existing curricular materials to work from. This working session is not for starting from scratch. Also, a working knowledge of the College and Career Readiness Standards for ELA is necessary and assumed.
