Continuous Improvement Planning: An Overview focuses on the use of a systematic process of program assessment, goal setting, plan development, and evaluation to maximize program outcomes. This self-paced, 5 hour course is available through the Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) Blackboard learning management system.

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Adult education program directors and staff involved in the continuous improvement planning (CIP) process within their program
Description: 

Continuous Improvement Planning: An Overview spotlights the importance of CIP, particularly in the context of your program's vision and mission. The course examines the four phases of CIP development: preparation, planning, implementation, and evaluation—with the goal of maximizing outcomes for your program.

Learning Objectives: 

Upon completion of this professional development activity/course, you will be able to:

  • List and describe the four phases of the CIP cycle
  • Explain the importance of CIP and how it relates to your program's vision and mission statements
  • Explain how a growth mindset culture support CIP
  • Describe a minimum of two important steps for each phase of the CIP cycle needed to support your program's CIP
  • Determine at least two strategies for updating the CIP cycle and communicating it to your entire program
