Description

This webinar will provide adult education practitioners with practical ways to integrate basic smartphone functions into their teaching practice, focusing on using voice and video recording to enhance student learning.  These strategies enable students to see and hear themselves, providing opportunities for self-assessment and accessing different learning styles.  Participants will view and listen to examples of student work created using basic video and voice features, and will also experiment with apps that utilize voice and voice recording.  Participants will submit a lesson plan that utilizes smartphones.  After implementing the lesson, they will submit a final reflection.  Participants will receive feedback on both their plans and reflections.

Training includes a one hour pre-workshop assignment, one hour webinar to learn about cell phone basics, two hours online lesson planning/activities, 2.5 hours online discussion, and a one hour follow-up webinar on March 18, 2016.
