It Don't Mean a Thing if You Ain't Got a Ning (we've got one you can use for free!) What can you use our new Ning site for? It's a great place to network with other educators, ask questions, start discussions, get resources, create Groups for your classroom or Program site, make a blog, and so much more. SMARTT & Cognos Information
- SMARTT/Cognos Help: There is a new procedure for rquesting help for SMARTT and Cognos issues. All requests must now be emailed to smartthelp@gmail.com Please do not call, email or cc your regional tech for assistance. We have created a help desk system that is being managed by techs on a rotating basis. You do not need to provide a detailed description of your issue in the initial email. Once you submit a request to the above link, you will receive an automated reply with a link to a form. Please fill out the short form completely and hit Submit. The tech on duty will either call or email you shortly if they require further information. We appreciate your anticipated patience as we put this system in place.
- SMARTT/Cognos Updates: SMARTT and Cognos trainings will be revised to be more responsive to the needs of the field. Trainings will now be delivered primarily through web conferencing tools instead of face to face. Supplementary online how-to videos will be developed and referred to augment various topics. There is an online SMARTT Manual that should be used as a first source of reference. A Cognos online manual is due to be released shortly.
SMARTT NEW USER Trainings: are now three hours long, but may be taken in segments and may be delivered face to face or online as needed. Please check the SABES calendar to see when they are being scheduled. You may take any of the online courses from any region.
