Nancy Labonte, MEd, has served in many roles during her long career in adult education, specializing in ESOL and instructional technology. Her work has afforded her extensive opportunities to work directly with students and staff, both in and out the classroom, as well as allowed her to influence policy decisions affecting ABE program quality. She is thrilled to reengage with SABES as a professional developer, having previously worked with the organization as one of a team of statewide curriculum and assessment coordinators. Nancy currently oversees statewide CCR Standards-based professional development and a statewide technology initiative in her role as adult education program specialist at the Rhode Island Department of Education. She also teaches an ESOL writing course at Bristol Community College.
