Southeast, MA ABE practitioners recently participated in one or more of the above referenced workshops in a series on Learning Differences/Disabilities. Through a hands-on approach, participants learned about the different types of learning disabilities that exist and how they manifest in the ABE/ESOL learner. They also learned specific techniques for teaching and supporting adult LD learners as well as how to construct multi-sensory activities for the classroom.
About This Site
SABES SE has developed this “Companion Website” to the LD Foundations Series for ABE/ESOL practitioners who attended any of the sessions and would like some additional assistance in implementing the content and for those who are generally interested in increasing LD capacity in their programs and classrooms.
Supplementary, ready-to-use resources provided here will assist you in enhancing your and your program's ability to serve Learning Different students as well as aid you in implementing the material in alignment with MA DESE instructional requirements.
