Workshop Title: Distance learning Professional Development
Presenters: Sally Gabb, Jennifer Rafferty, David Rosen
Participants will learn about free or inexpensive professional development
courses online for adult education/ ESOL teachers. Learn about SABES online
and blended model professional development courses and plans for future
courses online. Also learn how programs can use online platforms like Moodle
or Community Zero to:
• enhance face-to-face workshops with blended distance learning
• increase communications across a distance with calendars, polls, file
sharing, and discussions
• foster a sense of community among staff and project members
