Duplicity
This is a holywood film starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts. But the real star is writer/director Tony Gilroy, who also created Michael Clayton and the Bourne movies. This one fits in that genre but also parodies it quite a bit, which is very welcome. He has a great way of making the viewer feel smart. And as we know, perception is reality, I think. It features the best fight scene I've witnessed on film -- between two CEO's (played by Paul Giamatti and Tom Wilkinson) -- featuring lots of comedy/pathos/clumsiness all in slo-mo.

This is the choice for One Book Holyoke, where everyone in the City is invited to read the selection and discuss and participate in various events during the Fall of 2009. I'll give more of an update once I've finished it

Boards of Canada – Dayvan Cowboy
Akira 'blipped' this via blip.fm, a great example of 'web 2.0' which involves users acting as their own DJs. As a DJ, you spin a tune, or blip it, and can add a text message and target specific listeners or other DJs. This particular tune comes with an amazing video which features Joe Kittinger skyplunging from 31,000 meters in 1960. Great pairing of music and visual images. You can probably find this on youtube as well.
