I started to read this book during my summer vacation, completing it recently. I'm drawn to books on Ireland for some reason. I like to hear about the culture and landscape. The characters also seem to be strong characters.

I recently held a Wimba Orientation and the topic of teaching online to low level English for Speakers of Other Languages [ESOL] came up. These links can be used by all ESOL teachers.

http://www.uiowa.edu/~acadtech/phonetics/ This is the site that I was telling you about yesterday. It had a frontal view as well as a cut away with the audio clip

http://www.ugoeigo.com/ This site is a actual lesson IPod with only a frontal view displayed with the audio.

http://www.soundsofenglish.org/pronunciation/sounds.htm - This site has lesson plans and activities along with video and sound clips including the schwa sounds.

http://international.ouc.bc.ca/pronunciation - This site has 3 presentations of sounds; a frontal view, side view and a cutaway view. They also have activities- exercises, lessons in audio and PDF format [PDF stand for Portable Document Format - it's used as a picture of a files that can't be changed easily]
