Georgia State University has collected high interest/low literacy coronavirus materials in their Coronavirus Adult Literacy Resources Directory.

Materials are from various sources, such as the Oregon Health Authority, University of Michigan, the American Institutes of Research, and CNN. Some pieces do not have a cited source.

Georgia State has analyzed the materials for readability and sorted the collection into easier to read and harder to read, up through a 9th-grade reading level.

Please note that the websites for several credible organizations include understandable basic information on the coronavirus and COVID-19, including theĀ WHO, CDC, and major universities such as Johns Hopkins, Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health, and UMass. Take a piece from one of those sites and check the readability yourself, using the tools on the SABES Text Complexity page.
