Thanks to our state membership in the New England Literacy Resource Center (NELRC), you are eligible to attend a free conference in Rhode Island this summer on August 5 and 6 to learn about the Integrated Digital English Acceleration (I-DEA) online curriculum and program. ACLS has approved this blended learning curriculum for use in AE programs in Massachusetts.
Developed based on the I-BEST model, the I-DEA flipped classroom, blended learning model prepares students to enter college and career pathways with digital literacy and academic skills. Students quickly learn skills relevant to their lives and careers. According to its developers and based on pilots, I-DEA's outcomes are 9 percent to 16 percent higher than traditional English language classrooms.
The conference is designed to familiarize administrators and English language teachers with the curriculum and equip you with practical information and hands-on tools to successfully implement and deliver I-DEA at you location.
Both the I-DEA curriculum and the conference are free.
