Racial discrimination in the United States is a 400 year-old problem that has recently exploded into public consciousness once again. Many teachers are asking for resources to incorporate into instruction that address diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
Be sure to check out The Change Agent issue named "Talking about Race." While all issues include a racial equity dimension, this particular issue has especially strong resources for talking about race in the classroom. It includes a host of lesson supplements that you can use to develop lessons and classroom activities.
Thanks to our state membership in the New England Literacy Resource Center (NELRC), every Massachusetts program has free online access to all Change Agent materials all the time. You can activate your free membership and access all Change Agent materials at the NELRC Member Registration site.
