Overview

An online introduction to the instructional shifts in the College and Career Readiness Standards for Mathematics.

This is a two-webinar series that meets April 21 & April 28 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Participants must commit to both sessions.

Description

According to the Pathways for Program Curriculum Development (March 2016), any program working on a math curriculum must submit an instructional unit and three lessons based on rigor, one of the three Key Instructional shifts in the College and Career Readiness Standards for Mathematics. In order to help program staff better understand all three Shifts, our Center is offering a two-part webinar series. Facilitators will explain the Shifts using concrete math examples to illustrate each. Participants will have frequent opportunities to interact using polls and to contribute to the discussion using the chat feature. Prior knowledge of the Instructional Shifts and CCR Standards are not required. Participants must commit to both sessions.
