Welcome back to school! The SABES English Language Arts (ELA) Professional Development (PD) Center hopes you had a restful and enjoyable summer. We are eager to partner with you this school year to make sure that your ELA curriculum and instruction needs are met so that you can best support your students.



To help sort through the many materials and professional development options available to you on the SABES ELA website, we have compiled a list of the Top 10 Back to School SABES ELA Resources. This list describes 10 high-quality, standards-aligned ELA PD opportunities and resources that will equip you to engage your ABE and ASE students.



Also available is the SABES ELA PD Year-at-a-Glance, which provides an overview of the PD sessions we plan to offer this upcoming year. Events are categorized by topic area, and scheduled events have hyperlinks to the calendar posting with information about how to register. If you are a program director, we encourage you to print the Year-at-a-Glance and post it in an area that is visible to your staff.
