Emily J. Wilson is an Instructor of Public Health and Pre-Health Programs Advising Coordinator at MCPHS University (formerly Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences), part-time Instructor at Brookline Adult & Community Education, and a graduate student in the Health Professions Education Doctoral program at Simmons College. Prior to teaching and beginning her doctoral studies, Emily completed a pre-doctoral research fellowship on the applications of trauma-informed care practices in child and family-serving systems. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), certified in sexuality education by Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, and has worked as a health educator in various school-based settings. Her research interests include the impact of trauma, adversity, and toxic stress on health and learning, and eliminating health disparities. Emily holds a Master of Public Health, a Master of Urban Studies, and professional certificates in the Treatment of Trauma, Developmental Disability Studies, and Non-Profit/ Public Management.
