In this commentary paper, the authors argue for prioritizing teachers’ and students’ social and emotional well-being. They acknowledge the realities and tensions, discuss actions for all educational stakeholders to take to prioritize the well-being of all people working in schooling systems, and offer suggestions on ways to hold ourselves accountable to community healing and mathematical learning, as well as suggest resources for educators.
