BeCALM Number Sense: Remote-Ready Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4)
This online workshop will introduce a curriculum specifically designed to help beginning level math learners develop their number sense with whole numbers. This resource can be used for remote or in-person classes and includes a student packet and teacher’s guide. Participants will receive electronic copies of all the materials.

Teaching Adult Learners with Language-Based Learning Disabilities: An Overview
In this session, learn about common language-based learning disabilities (LBLD—difficulties related to the understanding and use of spoken and written language, such as dyslexia), and about specific strategies to support adult learners with LBLD. This session is the first in a series offered by the SABES ELA, ESOL, and Math Curriculum and Instruction teams on teaching adult learners with learning disabilities.

Getting Started with Problem-Based Learning
We want our students prepared to earn their high school credential and develop employability and life skills, while incorporating CCRS content standards. We can accomplish all this with Problem-Based Learning (PBL). PBL is a problem-based approach to learning that will allow students to learn skills that matter. These skills include critical thinking, problem solving, processing and analyzing information, adaptability and willingness to learn. Many free, quality PBL resources are available, for use in both online and in-person instruction.
