An introduction to using CCR-aligned EMPower Plus materials.
Looking for some math materials that can help you bring the College and Career Readiness Standards for Mathematics into your program? Do you want to help your students deepen their conceptual understanding of the math you are teaching, but are not sure where to start? This workshop will introduce the EMPower Plus materials, which provide activities and practice materials specifically designed to help adult learners deepen their conceptual understanding of math concepts in real life contexts. The workshop will provide an overview to the methodology and content of the EMPower Plus materials, tips for putting them to use in the classroom, a chance to try out sample activities, and guidance for developing unit plans using EMPower Plus.
