Overview:

What does your volunteer program look like with the transition to online learning? How are you communicating with volunteers? How are tutors working with students? What learning activities lend themselves to online tutoring?

These questions and more will be discussed during this online workshop for new and experienced volunteer coordinators.

Audience:

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Both new and experienced volunteer coordinators and others in adult education programs who work with volunteers
Description:

In this workshop, we will focus on the transition to online learning and tutoring, and what this shift means for your work with volunteers.

Diana Satin will lead the group through an overview of two communication and learning tools: Zoom for individual and group video meetings, and Screencast-O-Matic for creating instructional videos, lesson feedback, and more. We will look at how programs are now structuring their volunteer and tutoring services, and you will have the opportunity to share best practices. The first part of this webinar will be presentation and discussion while the second half will be facilitated sharing.
