    Audience

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • ELA teachers
Description

This school year found all Massachusetts AE Programs unexpectedly immersed in ELA remote instruction, whether they were ready or not! The 1.5 hour session will include both a panel presentation and facilitated small group discussions for participants to connect with colleagues on which instructional strategies worked and which need more work.

Jeanne Almanzar (Assistant Director of Adult Education, Valley Opportunity Council) will moderate a panel of teachers including Ann-Marie Hallagan (Bristol Community College), Brooke Machado (Boston Public Schools Department of Adult Education), Jeannine Terra (Bristol Community College), and Leona Leighton (YMCA of Greater Boston). Pam Dempsey-O’Connell (SABES ELA Instructional Designer) will also lend her insights and support regarding distance learning.

This session will be available on both June 10 and June 17: choose either (or register for both!). You will receive an email from Joanne Harrington at QCC with a link to the session that you registered for.
