Last school year found all Massachusetts adult education programs unexpectedly immersed in STAR remote instruction, whether they were ready or not! In this 2 hour session, hear from the MA STAR Trainers on how to adapt vocabulary and fluency strategies for remote instruction. Share your own experiences, challenges, and questions about teaching STAR remotely as you reflect on the past few months and think ahead to the next academic year.

    Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this professional development activity/course, you will be able to:

  • Discuss remote EBRI/STAR instructional strategies for Vocabulary and Fluency with other MA STAR colleagues
  • Identify a few EBRI/STAR strategies that can be adapted for remote teaching
  • Discuss possible resolutions to challenges faced in teaching STAR remotely
Prerequisites

Must be STAR trained or part of the FY20 STAR training
