  • New and experienced volunteer coordinators and adult education program staff interested in incorporating volunteers into their work
Description

The first part of this group meeting will be a presentation and discussion on creating effective volunteer newsletters. During this time of remote work, newsletters are more important than ever as a way of keeping volunteers connected and engaged with each other.

You will hear from Csilla Tambor, director of volunteer engagement at English at Large, about her experience developing effective newsletters as well as weekly resource emails for tutors. Stephanie Pasternek, volunteer coordinator at the Center for New Americans, will also share and discuss the monthly newsletter she creates. If you have newsletters to share or that you would like feedback on, please have these ready to share.

The last half hour of the group will be general sharing and discussion about issues that are of interest to you and your colleagues.
