This offering is a self-paced, lightly facilitated online course on exploring, finding, and using free and open access as teaching and learning materials for your classroom.

Description

Open educational resources (OERs) can help you as an educator by giving you access to an abundance of customizable, free, and convenient resources to integrate into lessons. OERs include any educational materials that are openly licensed, including lesson plans, games, textbooks, audio, and videos. Learn where to find these resources and how to adapt them to your students' and classroom needs.

This course is 5 professional development hours, including assignments.

 CCR Standards anchor standards addressed:

  • Writing anchor 8: Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources, assess the credibility and accuracy of each source, and integrate the information while avoid plagiarism.
