Overview

STAR teachers: Refresh your knowledge of the proven research-based and evidence-based reading instruction (EBRI) strategies for teaching and learning reading comprehension that will positively impact the reading outcomes of your adult learners. This two-hour session will include how to teach these strategies remotely with fidelity to the STAR model.

This training will serve as a review of the STAR EBRI strategies for reading comprehension, as well as a review of how to teach these strategies through explicit instruction, both remotely and in person:

  • Reflect and Evaluate
  • Text Marking
  • Text Structures and Graphic Organizers
