Overview

This 90-minute meeting gives an opportunity for Motivational Interviewing users to practice their craft under the guidance and supervision of an experienced practitioner. Participants are welcome to bring topics that stem from their own practice.

    This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Workforce development and adult education staff who practice Motivational Interviewing in their work
Description

This meeting consists of two parts: the practice part and the discussion. We will start with a 60-minute practice and coaching in Motivational Interviewing. We will end with a 30-minute discussion on sticky points, tough situations, and related interventions.

Participants must have recently completed (within the last four years) a basic Motivational Interviewing training to participate in this Circle of Practice.

We will be meeting via Zoom, and Jane Brandt will send you information and the link for joining online a few days prior to the meeting.
