Overview

Join Northstar trainer Theresa Sladek for the third in a series of three Northstar Digital Literacy workshops to learn how you can orient your learners to the Northstar assessments, the student dashboard, and self-directed online curricula that are included in your program’s state-funded subscription to the Northstar Digital Literacy platform. She will review how to proctor assessments and provide examples of how instructors can use the classroom curricula in a remote learning environment.

    Audience

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Program administrators and instructors who already use or plan to adopt Northstar Digital Literacy
Description

In this two-hour workshop, Northstar trainer Theresa Sladek will show you how to guide learners through taking Northstar assessments and explain the student dashboard to learners. She will also walk you through using the self-directed Northstar Online Learning (NSOL) curricula from a student perspective, so that you will be equipped to onboard your remote learners to the curricula and support them as needed. Theresa will also give an example of using the instructor-led classroom curricula in a remote learning environment. Lastly, Theresa will walk you through how to proctor Northstar assessments at your program.

This is the third workshop in a series of introductory Northstar trainings. The first, Introduction to Northstar Digital Literacy on September 22nd, offers an overview of the Northstar platform and features. The second, Getting Started with Northstar Digital Literacy on September 29, guides you in orienting your students to the platform and assessments. Each session stands on its own, but we recommend attending all three sessions if possible.
