Overview

This two-part training is an overview of how to use LACES (the statewide data management information system, or MIS) for your student, class, and staff data.

    Audience

    This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Staff members who are new to LACES with little to no experience adding data elements into the system
  • Staff members who would like a refresher on data entry into LACES
Description

Part 1: This webinar is an introduction to LACES and the NRS reporting. We will cover the necessity of tracking NRS required fields for student intake, waitlists, service tracking, navigation, class creation and duplication, enrollment, and accessing technical assistance and tutorials.

Part 2: This webinar will pick up where Part 1 left off and review the prior day’s lessons. We will discuss creating staff records, assigning staff to classes, tracking attendance, exiting students, and tracking measurable skill gains and outcomes. 

This session will be recorded.

Format & Requirements: This course consists of 2 synchronous, online sessions, with no additional required work. The estimated time to complete the entire course is 4 hours.

Prerequisites

Completion of the Beginner LACES Training, a general overview of basic data entry procedures and state policies, and MassSTEP funding are required.
