Overview

EdTech in Action sessions are your chance to explore and engage with educational technology—the ideas, tools, and techniques that use digital technology to facilitate changes in knowledge, skills, or attitudes. Each session introduces a new EdTech tool and presents two replicable EdTech routines that you can adapt for your classroom or for administrative use to build students' digital skills. In this third session, you will learn about using Google Forms as an assessment tool—not just for the classroom, but for program intake as well.

    Audience

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Any instructor, administrator, or staff member looking to improve their assessment with students using technology or learn about EdTech routines
Description

Are you looking for a way to track your students’ learning more effectively using digital tools? Are you looking to strengthen your program’s intake process in ways to increase your capacity to track key learner data? Are you looking to do all this and more in ways that build students’ confidence using online forms, polling tools, or productivity software? Join this EdTech in Action session on assessment with Google Forms, which will equip you with the skills and knowledge to leverage Google Forms (or other similar form applications) in personalizable, convenient, routine-based ways to gather key data from your adult learners. You will also have the opportunity to test out one of the Google Forms routines during the session to model this practice and prepare to implement it.

Using World Education’s EdTech Integration Strategy Toolkit as a guide, the four-part EdTech in Action learning series explores practical EdTech routines for adult educators and program administrators. Each session will focus on a specific EdTech tool, demonstrating two key routines—one instructional and one programmatic—for its effective use. Participants will learn to identify the tool's potential, apply foundational skills to implement demonstrated routines, and adapt strategies to meet their program's unique needs.
