Overview

Fluency is an important bridge to reading comprehension. In this practical session, learn the three pillars of reading fluency—accuracy, rate, and prosody—and how to target them using Evidence-Based Reading Instruction (EBRI) strategies.

  • ELA teachers and tutors of readers at grade level equivalent 0-8.9
Description

This session explores the three components of reading fluency (accuracy, rate, and prosody) and their impact on comprehension. You will learn targeted, explicit EBRI strategies that can be adapted for different reading levels and are suitable for both in-person and remote instruction. Join us to walk away with practical approaches to elevate your students' confidence and reading skills.

Please note: Several days before the event, you will receive an email from the SABES ELA PD Team at World Education, a JSI initiative, with directions for how to access the Zoom session.

MA participants who complete this PD event will receive 1.5 hours of PD credit in LACES.
