Support staff are often the first people students meet and form relationships with at adult education programs. They play critical roles in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students, all the while managing the program's operations, data collection, and reporting systems. The Support Staff Sharing Group is intended to offer an opportunity for professionals to network, share successes and challenges, and problem-solve together.

The topic for this meeting is Standardizing Communication, Communication Logs, and Student Outreach. Expect to share your effective student outreach strategies—from texting and WhatsApp to email. What are your policies and best practices for securely standardizing communication logs?

Topics for each meeting are based on peer interest and recommendation. Please come prepared to collaborate, ask questions, and share ideas and resources.

All meetings will include time for general discussion and updates, followed by breakout discussions, guest presentations, or whole- group discussions.

Format & Requirements: Sharing Group meetings are held live via Zoom, with a companion discussion board and resource library in Canvas. We ask that you come prepared with resources and questions about the topic, but there is no required asynchronous work. We encourage you to attend as many meetings as you can, but attendance at all meetings is not required.
