About EnGen
EnGen offers personalized and sector-specific language instruction for ELLs. General courses include Beginner-Level English, Academic English and Business English courses. In addition, the platform offers 130+ career-aligned courses such as English for Certified Nursing Assistants, Manufacturing: Processes & Production, and English for a Commercial Driver's License.
Request EnGen Seats
If you are requesting usage for the first time in FY26, please have your director email Paula Jurigian (paula.jurigian@mass.gov) and include the following information:
- Name of your program
- Product for which you are requesting access
- Number of seats
- Class level(s) that will be using the product

Training and Support from EnGen:
The EnGen Resource Center has resources to help teachers and learners get started using EnGen.You will find lots of hands-on resources in the Teacher’s Toolbox for those teaching EnGen in a classroom. The EnGen Course List offers an easy reference to all EnGen courses, listing the course level and the number of units and lessons in each course. Program directors will find impact, implementation, marketing, and reporting resources to help you set up your program for success.
