Learn ways to leverage Newsela's auto-differentiation tools to support learners as they access diverse text content, engage with new information, and express new knowledge.

    This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • ELA and ESOL instructors who want to differentiate reading instruction for their learners
Description

In this session, you will explore strategies within the Newsela platform that you can use to differentiate instruction and engage all learners. You will identify and use the available tools in Newsela, such as changing reading Lexile® levels and using annotations and read-aloud mode. You will also discuss best teaching practices, such as providing students with choices within multi-article assignments. We recommend joining this interactive session with your Newsela account open and ready to use.

Format & Requirements: This course consists of one online synchronous session of 1.5 hours, with no additional required work.
