This professional development activity/course is designed for:
Support staff are often the first people students meet and form relationships with at adult education programs. They play critical roles in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students, all the while managing the program's operations, data collection, and reporting systems. The Support Staff Sharing Group is intended to offer an opportunity for professionals to network, share successes and challenges, and problem-solve together.
In this first meeting, participants will discuss current challenges and successes, build connections with their peers, and select topics for the following meetings.
Format & Requirements: Sharing Group meetings are held live over Zoom, with a companion discussion board and resource library in Canvas. We ask that you come prepared with resources and questions about the topic, but there is no required asynchronous work. We encourage you to attend as many meetings as you can, but attendance at all meetings is not required.
Access & Support: You will receive instructions for accessing the meeting and Canvas resources from Sovanna. If you need technical assistance to access the meeting or Canvas, please contact Sovanna at sovanna_carnellguyon@worlded.org.
