During this self-paced, online course offered by Newsela, you will identify and implement strategies to help diverse learners connect course material with their own experiences. Learn about approaches that increase engagement and comprehension, supporting the success of all your students in a rigorous academic environment.
You will design challenging yet accessible Newsela assignments that maintain high expectations, using content that reflects students' diversity and represents nuanced identities.
You can start and stop the course at any time, and your progress will be saved for when you return. After completing the course, you will earn one hour of professional learning credit and a certificate of completion.
Format & Requirements: The course is entirely self-paced. There are no real-time, synchronous meetings. It will take approximately one hour to complete.
