Patricia Helmuth, a New York State Teacher Leader in Mathematics, combines 12 years of classroom experience with roles as a staff developer for the Hudson Valley Regional Adult Education Network, facilitator of online courses and webinars, and participant of both state and federal adult numeracy initiatives. Her work centers on developing and sharing resources with teachers of mathematics that create opportunities for all adult learners in mixed-level classes to gain conceptual understanding of mathematics and move forward with their math journeys. To that end, she currently serves as the editor of The Math Practitioner newsletter, published by the Adult Numeracy Network (ANN).
